Spiders... EEK!

Spiders normally totally freak me out.

But these were too sweet to resist.

I made these for Halloween, for ladies bible study and my neighbors.

They were super easy!

I can't take credit for the idea.

I've become addicted to this blog, bakerella.com

She has such cute ideas.

I can definately predict there will be more sweet treats to come!

My Furry Child

So I might not have a child to blog about yet, but I do have a dog. :)

Most of you have been introduced to Hannah. She is my "furry" child.

Everyone keeps asking me what is Hannah going to do when the baby gets here.

I, myself, am a little concerned.

Hannah, loves attention, but only on her terms.

She'll come up and paw at you if she thinks it is time for her belly to be rubbed.

I came home the other night to this.

Jeremy and Hannah hanging out on the couch, and of course Hannah getting a belly rub.

Here's a cute picture of Hannah in her jacket.

No I'm not one of those crazy ladies who dresses my dog in outfits.

It's her only one; she only wears it when it's cold and she is shivering.

Here's Hannah showing off her tricks.

"FREEZE"

"BANG " (that's her playing dead)

and then "STAY"
She has to sit until we tell her to get the treat, aka cheerios.

So until the baby gets here she has our undivided attention.

I know she will do great with the baby, she is such a sweet dog.

We might just get a few days of that attitude she is known for.

The only thing that I'm afraid of is toy and blankets.

As of right now any toy and any blanket she believes belongs to her.

All we can do is wait and see....

Baby's First Presents

The baby officially has stuff! Looks like I'm going to need to carve out a place in one of the guests room for the baby's gear.

The baby's first present was given to me by one of my good friends from church. It is a really cool bib. It is waterproof, has the little flap to catch food, and is machine washable. If this baby is anything like me - we are going to need that.

On Thursday I headed to Austin to work out of our corporate office for a couple days. When I arrived in the office the girls that I work with had put together this adorable basket!

I think it is sooo cute. One of the girls painted the card. They fixed us up. It has one of those cute adorable baby robes, towel, hand puppet wash cloth, set of wash cloths, 3 rubber ducky's that squirt water out and then the little toy. I thought it was absolutely precious and am so proud of it!

The next present is still a mystery to me, lol. Friday night after I got back from Austin the doorbell rang. It was dark outside and our front porch light was out, so I was a little hesitant to open the door. Finally I got the nerve up and opened it. There laying on the mat was a small Victoria's Secret bag. I'm thinking what in the world is this?!?!? I pick it up still not knowing what in the world I'm going to find in this bag. In it was this night light.

So I'm still on trial and error on which neighbor dropped it by. I think I have it figured out, it's just odd walking up to your neighbor and asking them if they gave you a present. Whoever did I think it is really cool. One thing though, I'm not sure if it is upside down, lol. That is the only way it will fit in our sockets. Oh well, upside down or not I'm still going to use it.

Lots of love~

Best Day Ever

So I have to apologize for the long break in blogging. It has been over a month since our last blog. Things have definitely changed around here, and I couldn't blog because there was only one thing I wanted to say.

Can you guess???

Okay so a lot of people already know, so I'm just going to say it.

I'm pregnant!!

We have known, for well over a month now, but after a scare and lots of sonograms everything is great. The baby is perfectly healthy. I have the biggest smile on my face right now. I had the best sonogram ever today.
I'm only 9 weeks and 4 days, but I was able to see the baby fully in the sonogram. The baby was kicking and moving... very active. I heard and saw the little heart pounding. So here are some pictures. I went and labeled everything, because I know how I wasn't able to make out the sonograms at all when people showed me.

We are so excited and proud. We absolutely can not wait to welcome this baby into our family of three... yes Hannah counts too. Oh I almost forgot, my due date is May 1st, 2010. So in about 7 months we will be parents. CRAZY!! And for all you inpatient grandparents, we will not find out the sex of the baby till early December.

God has blessed us with the best gift we could have ever asked for!

"Every good and perfect gift is from above"... James 1:17

End of the Day Thoughts

So another weekend has flown by. I'm hoping that now our lives will settle down and get back into our groove of things. I think this is the last weekend for a while to have company. My parents came in for a short visit. I love when they get up here. It's not very often that they get to come. We had a good visit... unfortunately for them I made them work. Yesterday we hosted a church meeting at our house. So Mom & Dad helped me and Jeremy get food ready and do a few last minute things. Today, they went with us to church, and then we took them to one of best restaurants around, Babe's. We all came back and napped a bit. Then they packed up and headed back home. I'm pretty sure they are still on the road now.

I was looking at my calendar to see who's birthdays I've missed because I'm horrible with those kind of things, and this is the quote on there.

"God was THINKING OF YOU even before He made the world. We are the focus of His love and the most valuable of all His creation." The Purpose Driven Life
"You are precious to Me and honored, and I love you." Isaiah 43:4 TLB

I love it when scripture hits home, and is exactly what you needed to hear. Some things in my world are a little crazy right now and it's amazing to have God's reassurance that he has a plan for every little thing. He knew me before he created me and he knew the path that my life would take. He knew I would find the love of my life, in a grocery store in Littlefield, TX. We just celebrated our 4th Anniversary. My how time has flown by. We have been truly blessed in all areas of our lives. I'm lucky to have such a great husband.

God Bless Everyone ~ Hope you have a great week!

Love,
Jen

Summer fun with the boys.

So two weeks ago Shawn, Lauren the boys came up and stayed with us. They all needed a summer vacation before heading back to school. The weekend was filled with lots of food and fun.

SIX FLAGS AND THE DREADED STROLLER
We made a trip to Six Flags, and when I say trip I mean a FULL day trip. We were there from opening to close. By about 6:30 that day Trent, who is 4 now, was getting a little tired of walking around the park. So instead of giving him piggy back rides ever 30 minutes I decided I would go rent him a stroller. While the rest of the group went and rode the titan, me and Trent made the journey to go get a stroller. The place you had to rent them from was at the very entrance of the park (we were no where close to this.) So I haul him all the way to the entrance and rent this nice big blue stroller thing. I pay the guy my $10 plus a $5 deposit, at this point I do not care how much it costs. I just can't haul Trent around anymore. So the guy brings it out and sits it down. I load Trent up and take off. Well back up..... the guy brings it out and Trent informs me that he "will not ride in that thing." I go on to bribe him into it by promising I will buy him ice cream. lol...... So he loads up. I start pushing and automatically notice that it isn't rolling right. I just blow it off and think that it must just be messed up (you know like the carts at Wal-mart).
So I keep pushing, but this cart thing is really starting to kick my butt. I'm thinking at this point i could have carried him easier than doing this. One wheel was not turning AT ALL. It was just like skidding thru the park. I stop get me and Trent both some ice-cream and head back to the point we are supposed to meet at. We get back and Trent informs me that his $4 ice cream bar is gross. I decided to toss it and me and him split my snickers ice cream bar. Around this time Shawn, Lauren and the boys get back. I start venting about the stupid stroller and how it messed up. Lauren dies laughing........ all you mom's have probably already guessed it............ I pushed the stroller half way thru the stupid park with the brake on.

WATERPARK AND MORE WATER
So Friday they decided they wanted to go to the waterpark. I needed to catch up on some work so they went with out me. They got back to the house around 4 that afternoon. I was expecting the boys to be exhausted, but they came straight in and got in the pool. The boys and Jeremy played hard. They love their uncle Jeremy.

Right before Jeremy spun them round and round.

There was lots of this...
And this... I think you get the hint.
And one adorable picture of Trent.
That night we cooked out steaks and potatoes and had a huge birthday meal. One of the boys cornered me the kitchen and gave me birthday spankings. It was overall a great weekend. I love being around my family. I enjoy every moment with the boys (even the dreaded stroller ones); it is hard not being around to see them grow up.

Sorry the post is so long - those boys could fill up an entire page just on their own . They always keep us laughing.

Whirlwind summer!!

I'm really sorry it has taken me so long to post again. It seems like the past 5 weeks our life has been a total whirl-wind. I've promised myself that I will get everything up and posted today!! Or try to at least. So much has happened since we got back.

Let see.....
Since the last post - we have had Shawn, Lauren and the boys come stay with us for 3 days and then the weekend after that went to the lake for a company retreat. Both weekends were a blast. So of course I have pictures from those too! I'm still trying to get all the Costa Rica pics up. Trying to do things in order, but sorry if everything is a bit choppy and out of order!! Will post all the pics shortly!!!

La Fortuna Waterfall - Costa Rica

The waterfall at La Fortuna, Costa Rica. We will have to say that this was by far the prettiest thing we saw on our trip. However, it did require a STEEP hike down. Then you get to the bottom and realize that now you have to go ALL the way back up! Definitely worth it though.

Costa Rica Pictures - Round 1

Our trip to Costa Rica was amazing. Jeremy planned an awesome trip as usual. We left home on Monday at around 4 a.m. and flew to Liberia, Costa Rica. The airport cracked me up there, it was literally a string of barns put together. After getting through customs and renting a car, we drove about 35 minutes to our first destination. We spent our first two days at the Hilton Papagayo on the Pacific Gulf Coast. Here are a few pictures from the first leg of our trip. Above is the view from our balcony. The resort was built up on a hill, with the main common areas being shown in the picture. This is where we went for meals, pool, access to beach, etc. It was a long hike down. But not to worry they had little green shuttles to haul us around wherever we wanted to go 24 hours a day.

Here are a few pictures from the resort.
You can't really tell it from the picture but the sand was black. Very different type of sand than any beach I had ever been too. It was actually really cool because it didn't stick you. Well unless you are like Jeremy and like to lay on it to take pictures of the hermit crabs.

If you look closely you can see a shoe print and a foot print on his stomach. They were imprinted in the sand and transferred to his belly. :)
That is all that I'm going to upload for now. I will definitely upload more pictures at a later date. We have a ton more, this is only a tiny taste of them. Let's see how this goes with people viewing them and we will give it a try again if all goes well.

Home Sweet Home

We are back!!!! More I am home!! After 2 1/2 weeks of traveling and being gone it feels so good to be home. The trip to Costa Rica was a blast I have tons of pictures and will post them soon! Once I can get this blog thing figured out!
